Move-In Day is one of the busiest days of the year at MtA, but when it’s all over the campus comes alive!

 

Listed below are a few essential things that you should know in order for us to make Move In Day as organized and efficient as possible.

 

1. Welcome!
As you’re driving into town, keep an eye out for the people wearing yellow or white shirts and excitedly waving signs! Pull over and let them direct you!

 

2. Drop & Go!
Drive over to your residence, drop off your belongings and immediately go park in your designated parking lot! It is important that you drop off your things and go park right away to avoid congestion in front of the buildings! There will be plenty of Orientation Guides, Athletes and members of House Staff to help carry your things to your room.

 

3. Stock Up!
Once you’ve parked, head over to the Wallace McCain Student Centre to pick up your Welcome Pack! If you haven’t pre-ordered one by that point, you can still purchase one on Move In Day for $70 while supplies last.

 

4. Chill Out!
After setting up your room you can take a deep breath and relax! Go for a walk around our beautiful campus, your new home!

 

5. Stay In The Know
Make sure to check the Orientation schedules posted in your residence and around campus! Welcome events begin on the first day, so make sure you know where to go and when! If you’re confused at all please don’t hesitate to ask anyone wearing a yellow or white shirt questions! These people are all members of the Orientation Team and will make sure you know where to go!

Please remember that there are several hundred people moving in on the same day – traffic lines will be long and you will do lots of waiting. We are all doing the best we can to make this a positive experience! Keep these things in mind and get excited because Orientation will be one of the most fun experiences of your life!
