Here is a general list of things you might want to bring ! However, these items are not essential. Use your own discretion while packing. It is also highly recommended to speak to your roommate about that which you both plan on bringing.

 

• Bedding (twin sized)

• Pillows/Pillowcases

• Towels

• Clothes hangers

• Flip Flops (shower shoes)

• Toiletries

• Laundry detergent 

• Laundry hamper or bag

• Ethernet cable (incase the wi-fi gets slow)

• School Supplies - bring what you like to take notes with and you'll find that you'll figure out what you like and don't like as the semester goes on. You can also purchase supplies from the MTA bookstore, located in the student center.

• Sticky tack

• A whiteboard for your door 

• Kettle - there is a kettle in the kitchen as well that everyone can use

• Health card, ID

• Alarm clock

• Clothing appropriate to the seasons (summer, fall, winter)

• PSA: SACKVILLE IS WINDY AND RAINY AF !!! so make sure you're prepared for that

• Semi-formal wear (for mulitple events such as, banquets, Ascars, etc.)

• Sports gear for intramurals (cleats, hockey gear, softball mitt, etc.)

• Slippers/house shoes

• Dishes if you plan on whipping up a quick snack or a 5-star four course meal (however, glass is not allowed in the hallways)

• Old clothes that you don't necessarily care about for O-week activities !

• Plain white T-Shirts - You'll need one for the Paint Party during O-week (We'll explain later) ! They can also be decorated to suit any occasion and/or theme.

• Lots and LOTS of Green and White clothing to represent Hunton's House Colours !!

 

DO NOT BRING

• WIRELESS PRINTERS - they mess up the wi-fi 

• Hotplates/cooking devices

• Microwaves - there is one in the kitchen

• Candles/incense - This is a fire hazard!

• Space heaters - these can be rented through housing if needed

• Animals INCLUDING fish

• Mini fridges or garbage cans (these are already in your room upon arrival!)
